The brief required the design of a range of engaging interactive games for classroom use, using authentic French voices. The design challenge was to maximise learning in creative ways using our expertise in interactive technology. As well as providing education through reinforcement, the games provide teachers with a tool for classroom assessment. The end product is a successful, dynamic resource that can be used time and time again.

The production and design of an onscreen photographic slideshow to showcase the work of this partnership projects, products and services for tender application purposes. The dynamic and inspiring production uses imaginatively selected stills and footage to give an engaging insight into this partnerships extensive work and was successful in winning the position of ‘preferred supplier’ with the QCA. Alongside it, was the design of a formal tender document-its layout reflected the tender objectives for clear, concise, and easily referenced informational content.

The design of a planning folder to hold resources, instructions and case studies. The treatment is simple but appealing making it easy to use, with some creative use of print finishing which help organise and soften the informational contents. This pack also contains forms, easy-to-use instructions, and a CD-Rom containing supporting electronic documentation.

An interactive educational resource designed to teach history and geography and promote the use of heritage sites. An extensive project with many design features that bring to life the historical background, a photo gallery and traditional folk music. We specifically designed an engaging interactive map for children to explore the canal network. This resource was designed to be flexible and versatile in the classroom environment for both teachers and children. The disc incorporates a Teachers’ Section containing additional teachers’ resources such as activity sheets and worksheets.

Well a few days ago I posted about a project we had been commissioned to make an interactive CDROM and I mentioned that its wasn’t so much as just commissioned, as well into production. So I decided I would follow up that post with a screen cast of how its looking so far and some of the functionality.

Some of the features we have developed especially for this disc are the photo gallery, light box and interactive map. Also worth noting this is our first flurry with a totally flash disc in a Director shell. We have previously use flash elements and components in Director but this disc takes that to a whole new level and as you can see, really looks good for it.Hope you enjoy the preview!

Old new is new news… So we have been working on this for a while but not bothered telling anybody about it.. so hear are a few details to start you off.

Two thirds has been commissioned by Birmingham Archaeology ( The University of Birmingham ) and Sandwell Council to author an interactive educational resource being written by Birmingham Archaeology covering the history of the canal network in the Sandwell area.

LCP French Interactive CDROM 2

Language Center Publication’s French Interactive 2 has past testing with flying colors and has gone to the presses!

Two Thirds were commissioned to produce two CDROMs of interactive games for Language Center Publications to allow children to reinforce there knowledge of French in there own time or as part of a class led activity. The Discs consist of 6 dynamic games driven by XML data, using a bank of audio and illustrations resulting in over 92 different games per disc that are different every time there played.

Brief : To Produce and author 16 activities that would be used as 36 static activites per CDROM

Role : Technical Director, Lead Programmer

Technologies : Flash, Director, XML, MP3, illustrations

Platforms : Mac / Pc

LCP Primary French Interactive Activities CDs contain a bank of creative activities- engaging puzzles, competitions and games – all using authentic French voices. Games can be played over and over – content comes up randomly within each topic to give variety and lots of opportunity to practise the material in the LCP Primary French Resource Files
