Felix Primary School – Core Values, House Icons & Environmental Graphics, Felixstowe

The Brief

Felix Primary School in Felixstowe commissioned us to design and install a cohesive set of graphics and displays that celebrate their school values and bring their brand identity to life across the site.

The project began with the creation of bespoke icons representing the school’s four core values — Pride, Ambition, Resilience, and Kindness — all developed in line with their existing branding, fonts, colour palette and overall visual style.

The school also wanted to transform their main entrance and shared spaces into areas that clearly communicate their ethos, identity and key messages around attendance, punctuality, healthy eating and achievement.

The Process

Working closely with the school team, we designed a suite of vibrant and meaningful graphics that reflect Felix Primary’s positive and inclusive spirit.

Key design elements included:

• Bespoke School Tree Feature – created especially for Felix Primary, this display incorporates the school’s classes (each named after trees and leaves) and proudly showcases the school motto, forming a welcoming focal point in the entrance area.
• House Icons & Plaques – distinctive new icons for the school’s four houses — Penguin, Albatross, Rhino and Kangaroo — used across displays, signage and house point systems to encourage team spirit.
• Interactive Attendance Display – complete with snap frames and token boxes, allowing pupils to track attendance, punctuality and house points in an engaging, hands-on way.
• Healthy Eating Display – installed at the canteen entrance, this vibrant wall scene promotes healthy choices, encouraging pupils to “spot the fruit and veg” hidden within the design.
• History Timeline Display – a corridor feature linking directly to the Key Stage 2 curriculum, helping pupils visualise key historical events in a clear, engaging format.
• School & House Value Plaques – fitted in the school hall to create a striking backdrop that reinforces the school’s ethos and community identity.

All elements were produced using high-quality materials, including Foamex, Dibond panels, and snap frames, ensuring durability and a premium finish suitable for a busy school environment.

The End Result

The completed installation gives Felix Primary School a unified visual identity across all key areas — from the entrance to the canteen and the school hall.

The new designs have created welcoming, educational and interactive spaces that celebrate learning, encourage healthy habits, and strengthen a sense of pride and belonging among pupils.

By combining meaningful messaging with bright, tactile design, the finished project perfectly reflects Felix Primary School’s values and community spirit.
