The Brief

St Laurence Church Infant School commissioned us to design a cohesive set of icons that represent their values, ensuring alignment with their existing branding, and logo which they asked us to redraw and modernise. The aim was to create welcoming, informative entrance that clearly communicate that that this is a Church school.

The Process

Working with the school to bring their ideas together was a lovely process –  exploring the meaning behind each core value. This was then translated into a set of custom-designed icons. We looked at fonts, colours, and overall visual style. The aim was to create welcoming, informative entrance that clearly communicate that that this is a Church school.

Working with the school community to bring their ideas together was such a joy. The new entrance artwork celebrates their five chosen Christian values through bold words and symbolic icons, creating something that is meaningful, memorable and designed especially with their children in mind.

The Result

A welcoming entrance that doesn’t just look bright and cheerful, but tells the story of what the school is all about — “Doing all things with love every day”. Love of learning, life and each other.
